Reliable sources indicate that John Calvert refused to shake Pedro Irigonegaray's hand at the conclusion of the hearings.

That's just rude. It doesn't serve anyone's purpose to be a jerk. They each said their piece, Calvert will win the battle, and he could have the courtesy to shake his opponent's hand when it's offered to him.
