Hello from Husband Hill

Tennessee Valley, Mars
This is the Tennessee Valley, on Mars, as seen by the Mars Rover. It finally made it to the top of the highest local peak, and is clearly still working like a charm.

When you feel down about the world and the frightful incompetence and disastrous decisions and accidents that happen here, it's worth remembering that we've accomplished some amazing things as a species.

The Mars Rovers are one of those truly spectacular achievements. This is another world that we're looking at, and it's human ingenuity that did this. It's a small thing, but nice.

Thanks to Stars over Kansas for putting this out there, and to NASA and their Spirit rover for making it possible.
