More on kindergarten

Milt Dougherty clarifies something I wrote the other day.

I wrote that he opposed mandatory all-day kindergarten and endorsed half-day. He asked that I clarify that he was endorsing

a half day session a year earlier (that way, kids would have a half day opportunity when they are 4, and another half day when they are five) rather than full day kindergarten when they are five.
Which makes sense. He's arguing in favor of getting kids into schools earlier, not for less time.
