Oceans of Kansas

I don't pimp this book nearly enough. Oceans of Kansas is a really nice piece of work about the geology and evolutionary history of this state right here, and the website for it is awesome.

Anyway, I bring that up for two reasons. First, the book might be a nice gift for someone you know, and if you buy it (or anything else) through the Amazon.com or iTunes links, I get a cut.

Second, Mike Everhart, the book's author, will be talking on campus next Thursday, the 15th (not tomorrow). The talk is at 10:00 am, at the Hambleton Auditorium at the KGS building on West Campus.

The title of the talk is "The Oceans of Kansas – The Rest of the Story."

Be there, or don't.
