I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Republican party hates diabetics:
there’s already a real, live human-animal hybrid creature in widespread use today. Its job is to slave away producing a substance that millions of people use routinely. That substance is insulin. Virtually the entire commercial supply these days is produced by genetically modified e-coli bacteria that contain human

, live in a fungal substrate and secrete human insulin. I take it that the President isn’t planning to put every Type I Diabetic in America into hypoglycemic shock. I don’t think it would be a popular policy plank.
And there's a lot of optimism that embryonic stem cell research might hold a cure or treatment for diabetes. Too bad the President forbade American researchers from doing anything useful in that field. Senator Brownback hasn't been helping, either.

Meanwhile, Giblets explains:

Being right is not a plan! Being wrong with resolve is a plan!

history is written in courage, and courage will remember us in the future how we were today: pandering, desperate and barely coherent!
And National Review effuses:
Whether you love or loath George W. Bush, you can not deny that he has learned how to read a teleprompter.
Bush/Cheney '12: Tic and smirk free! Now with 50% less head-jerking.

Look! Manimals!
