Diabetics

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Republican party hates diabetics:

, live in a fungal substrate and secrete human insulin. I take it that the President isn’t planning to put every Type I Diabetic in America into hypoglycemic shock. I don’t think it would be a popular policy plank.

And there's a lot of optimism that embryonic stem cell research might hold a cure or treatment for diabetes. Too bad the President forbade American researchers from doing anything useful in that field. Senator Brownback hasn't been helping, either.
