The power of bureaucracy

The Guardian reports on the resurrection of a woman killed by red tape. Following an accidental declaration of the woman's death, she spent 12 years in limbo, not officially alive, and apparently not dead:
She even went on to have a child - who was, following bureaucratic logic, declared an orphan. The paperwork was finally finished yesterday. "They have brought me back to life," Ms Calvo said. "I can now return from the dark side and stop sleeping in a coffin."
Welcome back to the world of the living! Tell us, what was the afterlife like?
