Going away

In addition to pondering what schools might be teaching about sex, the Board of Ed tangled with Blue Valley's reading lists. Connie Morris, herself an author of a book packed with sex, drugs, and other fun stuff, criticized award winning books like Beloved by Toni Morrison and the classic One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey:
“A bad tree can’t bear good fruit,” she said.
Red State Rabble rightly asks whether she herself isn't such poisoned fruit.

Tim Cruz (D) and Sally Cauble (R) are challenging Connie in the coming elections.

The school district is represented by John Bacon, who will face Harry McDonald (R) and Don Weiss (D). Bacon is worried about the book controversy, and says "I don’t believe it’s going to go away any time soon."

With luck though, he will be.
