Why IDolators don't make friends

RSR reports on a media discussion last night. John Calvert of the Intelligent Design Network got in the Kansas City Star's ombudsman's face:
Initially, Donovan was patient, but when Calvert began cursing, Donovan told him bluntly, "It's over," picked up his things and walked away
This, roughly speaking, is what is wrong with the IDolator's media strategy. For a while, I guess people gave credence to their whining about how IDC wasn't creationism and should always be defined differently. But it gets tired. And they don't do the one thing that would earn them respect – produce scientific results. But when people say as much, IDolators just turn nasty.
