Calvert in Wichita

Silkworm reports on Intelligent Design Network head John Calvert's presentation in Wichita.

How he managed to squeeze 3 hours out of evasive BS remains unclear. Maybe he learned it in law school.

Basically, the meeting went like this. As he claimed that intelligent design is not in the Kansas science standards and he doesn’t think they should be, he talked about how the new science standards allows for intelligent design and why it should be there but can’t be because of “materialism,” the requirement that science only use natural explanations.
