Stem cell watch

The 17th is D-Day for stem cell research, as the Senate prepares to vote on a proposal to allow federal funding, and federal oversight, for stem cell research in the US.

Watch for the amendments and idiotic counterproposals (Senator Brownback has a bill to forbid embryo farming, while no one will even try to ban goldfarming). Watch Republican Senators try really hard to decide which of these is a child:

Watch the bill pass.

Watch the President bow to popular pressure and sign the bill. Wake up.

Watch the President veto the bill.

Watch Democratic candidates nationwide run ads explaining that they don't hate people with diabetes.
