What do they think about evolution?

The World's Fair points us to Weekend America's review of opinion on evolution in Kansas (RealAudio).

Laura Ziegler interviews a neighbor who says: "There's not a shred of evidence that Darwin was a scientist, and if a teacher wants to tell a kid to read a Bible and believe in God, fine!"

My brain hurts.

That Darwin was a scientist is fairly readily demonstrated, but also irrelevant. The evidence for evolution rests on the data, not on who Darwin was or what he did 150 years ago. A lot happened in between, and it's all supported the framework that Darwin established.
