Funding the anti-abortion movement with tax money

Kline bills exceeded $2 million in 2005:
Kline's office spent about $260,000 on the two reproductive rights cases. About $231,000 went to defend a federal lawsuit in Wichita over Kline's interpretation of which teenage sexual activities must generate reports to state authorities. …

Vincent Rue, a nationally known abortion critic, received $152,701 as a consultant during the trial. Nearly $78,000 went to pay for the services of expert witnesses, most of which Rue helped obtain.
Rue talked one witness into changing his opinion before he testified, and lined up a real oddball group of witnesses (one testified that abortion doesn't teach kids the lesson they need to learn).
